Quick answer

What should I know before buying a VPS With Crypto server?

VPS With Crypto rents Linux KVM VPS with shared vCPU in six US and European cities, from $2.25 a month on a 12-month term as of 3 November 2026. You pay in crypto from a prepaid balance, with no KYC. A person sets up each VPS within 24 hours of payment. There is no Windows, no free trial and no backup service.

Plans and prices

How much does the smallest VPS cost?

Byte costs $3.21 for one month, or $2.25 a month on a 12-month term, billed $26.96 up front. It has 1 shared vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe, 2 TB a month. There is no setup fee: the first order and every renewal cost the price of the rental length, nothing more.

Is a longer rental cheaper per month?

Yes. Rent a VPS for 1 month, 3 months (10% off), 6 months (20% off) or 12 months (30% off). A longer length costs the monthly price times 3, 6 or 12, less its discount, rounded down to the cent: Tera is $79.54 for 3 months, $141.40 for 6 months and $247.46 for 12 months. A renewal repeats the same length at the price of your order, unless you choose another length for the next renewal in the dashboard.

How were the prices set?

Against a named plan, read on 3 November 2026. Each plan's 12-month price per month is at least 25% under one comparable VPS from a host that takes crypto and asks for no ID. Byte, for example, is set against InterServer Linux Cloud VPS 1 slice in Los Angeles at $3.00 a month. The pricing page lists all five references.

Is VPS With Crypto always the least expensive option?

Not always, and we do not claim it. Paid month to month, every plan costs more than the plan it was priced against; the 25% gap applies to the 12-month term. The ranking of crypto VPS by price uses the same rules for every host.

Why is Tera marked Best value?

The “Best value” badge goes to the plan with the most RAM per dollar month to month: Tera. It has 8 shared vCPU, 24 GB RAM, 400 GB NVMe, 12 TB a month, for $29.46 month to month.

Can I try a VPS for free first?

No. There is no free trial: the smallest plan, Byte, is $3.21 for one month, or $2.25 a month on a 12-month term.

Paying and your account

Which cryptocurrencies are accepted?

BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC. USDT goes on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20), USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20), Bitcoin on-chain. A top-up is at least $25. Walk-throughs: paying with Bitcoin and paying with USDT.

Do you accept Monero?

Not today. The accepted coins are BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC, and Lightning payments are not accepted either.

What does no KYC mean here?

No KYC: signing up and paying take no identity document, no selfie, no card and no phone number. You sign in with an account number alone; adding an email is up to you. No KYC is not invisibility: every payment sits on a public blockchain, our billing links your account number to your orders and IP addresses, and your traffic crosses the data-centre network.

What if I lose my account number?

Your account number is the only key to the account. With an email on file you can get it back; without one, a lost number cannot be recovered. Keep the number in a password manager from the day you open the account.

Does my balance expire?

No. Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your VPS. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it.

When do I get money back?

In named cases. If a VPS cannot be delivered, or goes down and support cannot bring it back, the lost days are credited back to your balance, which never expires. Top-ups are not paid out unless a law requires it, with one exception: the part added only to reach the minimum top-up is returned in USDT or USDC if you ask within 30 days and it is still unspent. The refund policy has worked examples.

Which commands show what the VPS really has?

Once you are logged in, four standard Linux commands confirm the plan you paid for: nproc prints the number of vCPU, free -h the RAM, df -h / the disk, and ip -br addr the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. On shared vCPU, the st (steal) column of top shows how much CPU time the host gave to other machines. The first ten minutes on a Linux VPS guide goes on from there.

The server: access, systems and network

Which Linux systems can I install?

Debian 13, Debian 12, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, AlmaLinux 10, Rocky Linux 10. Every VPS runs Linux, installed from our Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux images; Windows is not sold.

Must I give an SSH key at checkout?

No. You log in as root over SSH. Add a public key at checkout and password login stays disabled; skip it and the team sets a temporary root password, shown in your dashboard, that you change with passwd the first time you log in. The guide on SSH keys and server security shows how to make one.

Are the vCPU dedicated?

No, and every plan card says so. The vCPU of every plan are shared: they are scheduled on physical cores that neighbouring VPS also use. The RAM and NVMe space of your plan are reserved for your VPS only.

How much traffic is included, and what happens past it?

Byte has 2 TB a month, Kilo 2 TB, Mega 6 TB, Giga 12 TB and Tera 12 TB. Each VPS comes with a dedicated IPv4 address and a routed IPv6 /64. Every plan lists its outbound traffic per month in TB, and going over it never triggers an automatic charge. Plans connect through a 1 Gbit/s port that the VPS on the same host share.

Can I send email from the VPS?

Through a mail provider, yes. Outbound port 25 is closed on every VPS and is not opened on request; send mail through a mail provider on port 465 or 587.

Are backups or DDoS protection included?

No. No plan includes backups, so keep your own copy of anything that matters. We promise no DDoS protection beyond the default filtering of the data-centre network.

Cities, setup and renewals

Which cities can I choose?

New York, Dallas and Los Angeles in the United States; London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt in Europe: every plan in every city, at one price. The USA and Europe pages compare them.

Will my IP address show up in the right country?

Your VPS runs in a data centre in the city you pick, on IP addresses registered in that country (US, GB, NL or DE in the registry whois). Geolocation databases and websites decide for themselves where a data-centre IP address is; we make no promise about how they label yours.

How do I choose between the six cities?

Put the server close to the people who will use it, and in the country whose rules you prefer for the data centre. We publish no speed figures of our own: once the VPS is up, measure from your users' side. The price is the same in all six.

How long does setup take?

A team member sets up every VPS by hand after your payment confirms, within 24 hours; your dashboard follows the build and then shows the IP address.

What happens if I do not renew?

You pay for a VPS ahead of time from your crypto balance, for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, chosen at checkout. With auto-renew on, the same length is charged again at the price written on your order, and you can switch the next renewal to another length from the dashboard. If the balance cannot cover a renewal, the VPS stops when its paid time runs out and its disk is kept for 7 days before it is wiped.

Can I reboot or reinstall the VPS myself?

From the dashboard, yes, as a request. Reboot, reinstall and delete are requests you send from the dashboard, carried out by a person. A reinstall erases the disk.

Still deciding?

Byte is $2.25 a month on a 12-month term and Tera $20.62, the same in every city. Questions the FAQ does not answer go to [email protected].
