Quick answer
How do I buy a VPS with Bitcoin, step by step?
At VPS With Crypto, you top up your balance in BTC (minimum $25), send the exact amount shown to the address on the payment page, and order once the network has confirmed it. Bitcoin adds a block about every 10 minutes on average. As of 3 November 2026 the smallest plan, Byte, costs $3.21 for one month or $2.25 a month over 12 months.
What do you need before paying with Bitcoin?
BTC in a wallet or exchange account you control, a choice of plan, length and city, and ideally an SSH key.
An account. You sign in with an account number alone; adding an email is up to you. Your account number is the only key to the account. With an email on file you can get it back; without one, a lost number cannot be recovered.
A plan, a length and a city. New York, Dallas and Los Angeles in the United States; London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt in Europe: every plan in every city, at one price. Rentals run 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, and the longer ones cost less a month.
An SSH key, if you have one. You log in as root over SSH. Add a public key at checkout and password login stays disabled; skip it and the team sets a temporary root password, shown in your dashboard, that you change with passwd the first time you log in. The SSH key guide shows how to make one.
A wallet that shows its fee before sending, or an exchange that lets you withdraw to an outside address and set the amount that arrives.
How do you pay for a VPS with Bitcoin, step by step?
The steps are the same for every coin we take (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC); for Bitcoin, pick BTC in step 1. The table lists the confirmations we wait for on each network and the usual time.
Top up $25 or more
Choose the amount and the coin (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC). The crypto amount and its rate are locked for 30 minutes.
Send it to the address shown, on the exact network
The payment page shows our deposit address for the coin and network you picked: BTC on Bitcoin, USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20), USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20), ETH on Ethereum, SOL on Solana, LTC on Litecoin. Send only that coin on that network: funds sent on another network or in another coin can’t be recovered. The network fee comes on top of the amount.
Send the exact amount shown, then click “I’ve sent the payment”
Each top-up has its own exact amount (down to the last decimals): that is how we find your payment and link it to your account.
Credited once your payment is checked on the blockchain
Your balance is credited once we have checked the transaction on the blockchain, after the network has confirmed it. Typical network confirmation times:

Order your VPS
Pick a plan, a rental length, a city, a system and your SSH key (or none, for a temporary root password); the top-up is set to the price of that length. Once the payment confirms, a person sets up your VPS within 24 hours and its IP address appears in your dashboard. Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your VPS. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it.
Closed the tab? The pending top-up stays under Billing in your account: open it to see the address and the exact amount again.
How long until a Bitcoin payment is confirmed?
About 10 minutes per confirmation on average, and each block mined on top of yours counts as one more. Bitcoin.org gives the 10-minute average and warns that blocks are found at random, so a confirmation can come much sooner or much later. The Bitcoin developer guide counts one confirmation per block (both read on 3 November 2026). How many we wait for on Bitcoin is in the table of the payment steps above.
Two things stretch the wait:
A fee below what the network is taking at that moment. Bitcoin.org notes that such a payment may wait considerably longer for its first confirmation.
A crowded block space. Fees per byte rise with demand, so a fee rate that cleared quickly last week may sit in the queue today.
After the confirmations, the payment is checked and your balance credited, then the VPS is built. A team member sets up every VPS by hand after your payment confirms, within 24 hours; your dashboard follows the build and then shows the IP address.
How much is the Bitcoin network fee, and who pays it?
You do, on top of the amount shown, and it depends on the size of your transaction in bytes, not on how much BTC it moves. The Bitcoin developer guide, read on 3 November 2026, says fees are charged on the byte size of the signed transaction, rise with demand for space in blocks, and go to the miner.
A top-up of $26.96 and one of $247.46 can cost the same network fee.
A wallet that gathers many small coins into one payment builds a bigger transaction and pays more for it.
Wallets usually suggest a fee rate in satoshis per virtual byte; a higher rate gets mined sooner.
On our side, nothing is added. There is no setup fee: the first order and every renewal cost the price of the rental length, nothing more. The full cost of paying in crypto is broken down in the real cost of paying for a VPS in crypto.
Why send the exact amount, and what about exchanges?
Each top-up has its own exact BTC amount, down to the last decimal, and that amount is how your payment is found and tied to your account. Send it in one transaction.
From an exchange: some exchanges take their withdrawal fee out of the amount you type. If the address then receives less than the figure on the payment page, it no longer matches your top-up. Set the withdrawal so that the amount received is exact.
Rate lock: the BTC amount is held for the time stated in step 1 of the payment steps; send within it.
Closed the tab? The pending top-up stays in your account with its address and amount.
Sent the wrong amount? Write to support with the transaction ID. A person answers support emails within 12 hours, seven days a week, including help with SSH keys, reinstalls and firewall rules.
What does a Bitcoin payment leave visible?
Everything that happens on the chain: Bitcoin.org’s privacy page, read on 3 November 2026, calls every Bitcoin transaction public, traceable and permanently stored. Anyone who learns one of your addresses can follow the amounts and dates around it. The same page recommends a fresh receiving address for each payment and notes that nodes relaying transactions can log IP addresses.
A withdrawal from an exchange that verified your identity carries that link into its own records, whatever the host asks. On our side, the record is written down. No KYC is not invisibility: every payment sits on a public blockchain, our billing links your account number to your orders and IP addresses, and your traffic crosses the data-centre network. The rest is in what a VPS host can see.
How much BTC do you need for each plan?
The price of the plan for the length you pick, in BTC at the rate the payment page locks, and never less than the $25 minimum top-up. A month of Byte ($3.21), Kilo ($6.42), Mega ($9.64) or Giga ($19.28) costs less than that minimum, so part of the top-up stays on your balance after the order; what happens to that remainder is set out with the payment steps above.
Longer lengths cost less a month: Byte is $8.66 for 3 months, $15.40 for 6 and $26.96 for 12. Switch the length on the cards below to see every plan’s total.
In every plan: Root over SSH (key or temporary password) · NVMe storage · IPv4 + IPv6 · Same price in 6 cities · No KYC
Paying for a VPS in Bitcoin: common questions
How many confirmations does VPS With Crypto wait for on Bitcoin?
The number sits in the table of the payment steps on this page, next to the usual time. Bitcoin adds a block about every 10 minutes on average, and each block on top of your transaction counts as one confirmation.
Can I pay for a VPS with Bitcoin straight from an exchange?
Yes, if the exchange can withdraw to an outside address. Check that the amount received matches the payment page once the exchange’s own fee is taken, and remember that a verified exchange account links the withdrawal to your name.
What happens if I send too little or too much BTC?
The amount no longer matches the top-up it was meant for. Write to support with the transaction ID and the top-up shown in your account; a person replies within 12 hours.
Is unused Bitcoin refunded?
If a VPS cannot be delivered, or goes down and support cannot bring it back, the lost days are credited back to your balance, which never expires. Top-ups are not paid out unless a law requires it, with one exception: the part added only to reach the minimum top-up is returned in USDT or USDC if you ask within 30 days and it is still unspent.
When can I log in to the VPS after paying in BTC?
Within 24 hours of the confirmed payment, at the latest: once the network has confirmed the payment and it is checked, a person builds the VPS and its IP address appears in your dashboard. You then log in as root over SSH.
Can I pay with Monero instead?
Not today. The coins accepted are BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC.
