Quick answer
How much does it cost in fees to pay for a VPS with crypto?
Usually under a dollar. Read on 3 November 2026 at 14:41 UTC, a Bitcoin payment cost about $0.33 at 3 sat/vB, USDT or USDC on Ethereum $0.02 to $0.04, Solana and Litecoin under one cent, and USDT on Tron about $2.09 when the sender burns TRX for energy. VPS With Crypto prices are in US dollars; buying the coins on an exchange can add 1% or more.
What do you pay on top of the VPS price?
Up to four costs, and only the first is unavoidable.
- The network fee, paid by the sending wallet to the chain. It depends on the network and on demand, not on the amount.
- The exchange's cut: a trading fee, a spread in the quoted price, or both, when you buy coins for this payment.
- The withdrawal fee, set by the exchange per coin and network.
- Price movement: BTC, ETH, SOL and LTC can move between buying and paying. USDT and USDC track the dollar.
Paying from coins already in your own wallet removes the second and third. The checkout takes BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC.
How much were network fees on 3 November 2026?
Between a fraction of a cent and about four dollars, depending on the network. Readings were taken between 14:39 and 14:43 UTC from public fee estimators and from receipts of real transfers in the latest blocks, then converted at Coinbase spot prices of the same minutes. Fees move with demand: the preview in your wallet is the figure that counts.
| Coin and network | What sets the fee | Reading on 3 Nov 2026 | About in USD |
|---|---|---|---|
| BTC on Bitcoin | Fee rate in sat per vbyte × transaction size | 3 sat/vB fastest, 1 sat/vB within an hour; a one-input, two-output SegWit payment is about 141 vbytes | $0.33 at 3 sat/vB, $0.11 at 1 sat/vB |
| LTC on Litecoin | Fee rate in litoshi per vbyte × size | Average fee of 2,269 to 5,193 litoshi per transaction in the five blocks up to 3,206,720 | $0.001 to $0.003 |
| ETH on Ethereum | Gas used × gas price | 21,000 gas at 0.259 gwei | $0.012 |
| USDT or USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20) | Gas used × gas price, paid in ETH | 41,297 to 63,221 gas in 25 USDT transfers up to block 26,334,943, at 0.259 gwei | $0.02 to $0.04 |
| USDT on Tron (TRC-20) | Energy and bandwidth, or TRX burned in their place | 64,285 energy for 18 of the 20 transfers in block 87,681,451, 130,285 for 2, burned at 100 sun per unit without energy of your own; about 345 bandwidth at 1,000 sun after the free daily allowance | $2.09 to $2.21; $4.24 to $4.36 at 130,285 energy |
| SOL on Solana | 5,000 lamports per signature, plus an optional priority fee | 0.000005 SOL for a one-signature transfer | Under $0.001 |

What do exchanges add?
Often more than the network, when you buy coins just to pay. Kraken's fee schedule, read on 3 November 2026, charged 1% on instant and recurring buys and 1.5% on custom orders; small instant trades carry a fee of up to $2 instead, which matters on a small top-up. Stablecoin pairs such as USDT/USD cost 0.20% at Kraken's first volume tier. Coinbase builds a spread into the price of simple buys, shows it in the order preview, and says it can vary between similar orders.
Withdrawal fees come next, set per coin and network and shown before you confirm. Some exchanges take them out of the amount sent, so the payment arrives short: set the amount so that what arrives matches the payment page.
How long does crediting take, and does waiting cost anything?
The wait costs time, not money. The fee is paid once, when the transaction is sent; confirmations are the blocks the network adds on top of it afterwards. Bitcoin adjusts its difficulty so that a block arrives every 10 minutes on average, so each confirmation asked for adds about ten minutes. Ethereum adds a slot every 12 seconds. The number of confirmations each coin and network needs before your balance is credited, with the usual time, is in the payment table of how it works.
A team member sets up every VPS by hand after your payment confirms, within 24 hours; your dashboard follows the build and then shows the IP address. For the Bitcoin side step by step, see buying a VPS with Bitcoin; for the choice between Tron and Ethereum, paying with USDT.
Why does the minimum top-up change the arithmetic?
Because one network fee pays for one top-up, whatever the top-up then buys. A top-up is at least $25, while one month of Byte costs $3.21. The difference is not lost. Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your VPS. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it.
Fewer, larger payments therefore cost less in fees per month of server. A longer rental length also lowers the price itself. Rent a VPS for 1 month, 3 months (10% off), 6 months (20% off) or 12 months (30% off). A longer length costs the monthly price times 3, 6 or 12, less its discount, rounded down to the cent: Tera is $79.54 for 3 months, $141.40 for 6 months and $247.46 for 12 months. A renewal repeats the same length at the price of your order, unless you choose another length for the next renewal in the dashboard. Byte for a year is $26.96, or $2.25 a month; Giga for a year is $161.95, or $13.50 a month. A $2.09 Tron fee weighs heavily on a $25 top-up and very little on a year of Giga.
Which coin costs the least to send?
On 3 November 2026: Solana, Litecoin and plain ETH, at about a cent or less. USDT and USDC on Ethereum cost a few cents, Bitcoin a few tens of cents at a low fee rate, and USDT on Tron about two dollars for a sender who burns TRX.
That order is not fixed. Bitcoin and Ethereum fees rise with demand. Tron depends on the sender: of the 20 USDT transfers in block 87,681,451, eight cost their sender nothing and six cost 0.35 TRX or less, because those addresses had staked or delegated energy; six burned 6.4 to 13 TRX. For stablecoins, the network you already hold them on usually wins, since moving them across costs a fee too.
Pay once, run your VPS for a year
A 12-month rental takes one network fee instead of twelve: Giga is $161.95 for the year, the same in all six cities. No KYC: signing up and paying take no identity document, no selfie, no card and no phone number.

Questions about the cost of paying in crypto
Does VPS With Crypto add a fee for paying in crypto?
Prices are set in US dollars. There is no setup fee: the first order and every renewal cost the price of the rental length, nothing more. The network fee is paid by the sending wallet on top of the amount, and any exchange fee stays between you and the exchange.
Which network is better for paying in USDT, Tron or Ethereum?
On 3 November 2026, a USDT transfer cost $0.02 to $0.04 on Ethereum and about $2.09 on Tron for a sender burning TRX. Tron costs less when your address has staked or delegated energy. Use the network your coins are already on, and send only on the network named on the payment page.
Do confirmations cost extra?
No. The network fee is paid once, when the transaction is sent. Confirmations only decide when the payment is credited; waiting for them costs time, not money.
Does paying for 12 months at once save on fees?
Yes, twice: one network fee instead of twelve, and a lower price. Byte costs $26.96 for 12 months paid at once, against 12 × $3.21 paid month by month.
